It Takes a Village

On the night of our wedding I briefly thanked our loved ones who were celebrating our marriage and I mentioned the idea that it takes a village. Oftentimes we say this about raising children but I asked one thing of all in attendance at our reception, to be our village that helped launch our marriage and to uphold that marriage. As we moved from Brooklyn Park down to Bricelyn and are getting settled into our new home, I’m reminded of our village and humbled.

Thank you for being our village, our Family (yes, capital F). We know full well that without your love, encouragement, prayers, shoulders to cry on and words to wisdom that we wouldn’t be in this place. We have been entrusted to be a part of a mission bigger than we can fathom, we can only do this with our village. My heart is overwhelmed with gratitude and happiness as we look out on this big and beautiful land. Will you continue to be our village? Pray for our family, our team, our campers, our marriage and provision to fund this ministry year?

We have immense love and thankfulness for this journey. Wishing you all a happy week ahead as we post for the first time from Prairie River Camp.
