Earlier this week, camp hosted mud volleyball, one of the coolest summer fellowship event I’ve ever seen. There were 3 big mud pits and hours of mud volleyball tournaments. Students from all over the area made teams, invited friends, and had a great time in the mud.
As our little family of 3 walked over the the mud pits, we came across a group of middle school aged students who were hard at work. “We’re digging ditches” their adult work supervisor called out to us and I thought he was talking about the story of Elisha in 2 Kings, were God has called him to faithfully dig ditches to prepare for rain in the barren desert – a story of true faith and long suffering for sure!

These students weren’t figuratively digging ditches, they were literally digging shallow ditches to bury power cords in preparation for the many weeks of campers that start next week. The group of students were working together, having fun and sowing into their own future.
Many Youth for Christ students put in effort and hard work to earn money to attend camp, a structure that is made possible thanks to our partners in ministry who faithfully donate, which, in turn, provides scholarships. Would you prayerfully consider being a partner in ministry alongside our family? We are so privileged to get to see the fruition of faithfulness all around us and it wouldn’t be possible without you all.
